How to Keep Picnic Food Cold for the Day

While eating outside can be fun, bringing all the kinds of foods that you'd like to your picnic without having them warm and spoil sometimes proves tricky.   • Plastic food storage containers
  • Ice chest
  • Ice

Instructions

      Place the picnic foods that you'd like to keep cold in plastic food storage containers with airtight tops and gallon-size plastic freezer bags.

      Line the bottom of an ice chest with two bags of ice. Set the picnic food containers on top of the ice.

      Add another half bag or so of ice around the food containers. Secure the lid of the ice chest.

      Keep the chest closed until you have arrived at the picnic site and are ready to eat.
