How to Take off an S13 Bumper

The S13, also known as the Silvia or 240SX, is a sports coupe produced by Nissan from 1989 to 1994. The bumper on the S13 is held in by several 10 mm bolts. Once you remove the bolts, you can easily pull the bumper from the car. The removal process should take approximately 20 minutes and only requires the use of a socket wrench.

Instructions

1. Park the S13 on a level surface, and turn off its engine.

2. Remove the fender liner by pulling it off by hand. If you find it too difficult to remove, use a socket wrench to pry the liner off.

3. Remove the five bolts on each side that secure the bumper to the fender with your socket wrench.

4. Open the hood, and remove the four bolts securing the bumper to the grille. Remove the five bolts along the bumper near the radiator.

5. Pull the bumper off the front of the S13 slowly and carefully.

Tips & Warnings

• Take care not to drop the bumper when removing it, as it is quite heavy.
