How Keep Duraflame Logs From Falling Through the Grate
Duraflame logs are made to be used one at a time, unless they are the products of the "Stax" line. These logs are made of compressed wood chips and wax and burn at nearly twice the BTUs of ordinary fire wood logs. As the Duraflame log burns, it begins to lose shape and turn to ash. If burning a log on a campfire grate, it may break down and slip through the grate. Luckily this problem is easily remedied with a steady hand and a roll of aluminum foil.
Instructions

1
Place a single covering of aluminum foil over the entirety of the campfire grate. Pull the Duraflame wrapper lip up and place the log in the wrapper on the foil with the lip facing up.
-
2
Light the two lip ends as per the Duraflame instructions. Let the log ignite and begin to burn.

-
3
Turn the log over if it begins to burn unevenly, taking care not to rip the foil.
