How to Care for Corning Visions Cookware

Although the Corning Company that originally manufactured the signature glass cookware no longer holds rights to the consumer products it created, the cookware still occupies prominent placement in many kitchens. Now manufactured and sold by World Kitchen, the Corning Visions Cookware is one line of cookware that appeals to cooks with its all glass construction, eliminating the possibility of chemicals from metals or plastics.   • Wooden spoons
  • Rubber or plastic spatulas

Instructions

      Cook with the Visions Cookware on the stove top, in the oven or in the microwave. Set burner temperatures anywhere between low and high. Set oven temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also place Visions Cookware under a broiler without a lid.

      Cook foods cooked in Visions Cookware completely, and then serve the food. Use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to serve the food.

      Refrigerate food in the Visions Cookware. Place a lid onto the cookware and place it into the refrigerator.

      Freeze cooled food in the Visions Cookware. Some Visions Cookware come with plastic-storage covers that are ideal for freezing foods. Seal the food in the Visions cookware with the plastic lid and place the cookware into the freezer.

      Remove frozen food in the Visions Cookware and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for at least eight hours. Warm the thawed food in the microwave, the oven or on the stove top.

      Wash the Visions Cookware by hand using dishwashing soap and a dishcloth. Remove stubborn food gently by applying the nylon scrubber to the food and rubbing. You can also place Visions Cookware in the dishwasher for washing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not subject Visions Cookware to drastic temperature changes. Avoid cooling hot foods quickly and heating cold foods quickly or you may crack the glass.

  • Do not bump the Visions Cookware against hard objects or you may break the cookware.
