Instructions

    • 1

Attach the Log Wizard to the guide bar on your chainsaw following the manufacturer's guidelines. Based upon the chainsaw model you own, you may need to acquire a longer chain and make additional modifications to the guide bar.

    • 2

Start the chainsaw and allow it to warm up to full power.

    • 3

Place the Log Wizard against the bark on the front end of the log and draw the chainsaw backwards. The tool will immediately begin removing a 3 1/4-inch strip of bark.

    • 4

Continue slowly walking backwards until you reach the other end of the log. Walk to the front and begin stripping off another section.

    • 5

Use your peavey or cant hook to turn the log; this will give you access to every part of the surface. Continue the process until all of the logs you intend to cut have been de-barked.
