If you have ever received an animated birthday card in your email, you may wonder how to do the same for someone else. Sending e-cards is easy and does not require any special email skills. The email containing the link to the card will be automatically generated by the service you choose your card through. There are many e-card providers online. Some of them are hosted by large greeting card companies, while others may be focused on more of a niche market. Choosing the right service will depend on the card you want to send.

Instructions

1. Browse e-card websites to find the perfect one to send to your recipient. Once you have chosen your card, you may need to create an account with the website. Some e-card sites provide their services for free, but others may require payment. Generally, commercial e-card providers will give you the option of buying a single card or subscribing for a full year. Subscribing is a good choice if you plan on sending lots of cards.

2. Type your message into the text field provided. This will often be limited to a set number of words or characters. Once your message is complete, type your email address into the "From" field and your recipient's address into the "To" field. You may also have additional options for customization, such as music or font color.

3. Click "Send." An email containing the link to your flash e-card will be automatically sent to your recipient. Depending on the service you are using, you may also receive an automated email to inform you that the card has been read.
