How to Clean Resin Bowling Balls
There are many steps you can take to ensure long life and peak performance for your resin bowling ball. Cleaning your ball after every frame, and after prolonged use, will allow the ball to retain its ability to grip the lane consistently for the duration of its lifespan. You can care for your resin bowling ball to keep it free from dirt and grime, without taking away from any of the characteristics that make it a perfect match for your particular playing style.

1
Wipe down the resin bowling ball completely after you play each frame. Use the microfiber towel and bowling ball cleaner, then dry the ball before using again. This will reduce the chance of buildup that can wear on the surface of the ball and degrade its overall performance.
-
2
Wipe down the bowling ball thoroughly after you play each game, using the microfiber towel and the bowling ball cleaner. Concentrate most of your cleaning on the area that tracks the lanes, for it will most likely be the area of the ball to collect the most debris.

3
Resurface the bowling ball with the Abralon fabric or scuffing pad after every ten to twenty games you play. This ensures that the grip, or teeth, will remain intact by resurfacing the exterior of the ball.
-
4
Remove the lane conditioner chemicals from your bowling ball by soaking it in the bucket filled with a mixture of warm water and degreasing dish soap. Place the bowling ball in the bucket filled with warm water from your sink with the holes facing downward. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then repeat, this time with warmer water. The warm water will shock the surface of the ball, but be sure that it is not boiling hot. Repeat this again, but this time add the degreasing soap to the water and allow it to sit for another 30 minutes.
-
5
Dry the bowling ball off with a towel and allow it to completely dry before using. Your freshly cleaned ball will now be able to achieve its intended performance during each and every game.
