Homemade Airbrush Spray Booth
Airbrushing is a complicated art and requires a large space to complete. Most of the time, airbrushing is performed in a spray booth. These booths can be very expensive, but making one for yourself at home is a good, inexpensive option. That way you can ensure that there is plenty of ventilation in your booth and that the paint won't get everywhere it shouldn't be.

1
Measure the height of the box fan’s back. Make notes of the measurements. Cut four pieces of plywood to the correct height and about one foot deep. Attach a furnace filter over the front of the box fan with duct tape.
-
2
Attach the box fan to a table with glue so it's secure in place. Make sure it's blowing away from your work area. Build a box with the four pieces creating a four-sided box with the top and bottom open.

3
Place one open end of the box against the back of the box fan and screw the plywood sitting on the table securely to it. Tape the gap between the box fan back and the edge of the plywood box open to the fan.
-
4
Turn the box fan on high when in use. As you paint, the fumes will be moved through the fan and out the vent away from you. Always use the fan on high when painting in the spray booth.
