Water noodles are thin, flexible floats used in recreational swimming and aquatic exercise. It can be helpful to label your water noodles with printing for identification and promotional uses. You may want to label your water noodles with the names of your family members for use in the pool. You can also promote your business by printing its contact information on water noodles you can give as gifts to customers. No matter how you want to use your water noodle, you can print waterproof labels and simply adhere them to your water noodle with waterproof glue.

      Purchase waterproof labels from your local office supply store. Open the package and load them into your printer face down. You may need to face your labels in a different direction, depending on your make and model of printer.

      Turn on your computer and open Microsoft Word or similar word processing program. Click on your "Labels" tab under "Tools" at the top of your screen to open your label formatting. Check your waterproof label packaging and enter the label setup dimensions provided into your word processing program. Type in the information you would like printed on your water noodle. Click on your "Print" tab under "File" at the top of your screen and print your labels.

      Determine where you would like your label placed on your dry noodle. Peel off your label's adhesive backing. The manufacturer adhesive backing on your waterproof label will not stick after your water noodle is submerged in water. Take your waterproof glue and apply a thick coat of glue to the back of your waterproof label. Stick the label in your chosen place on your water noodle with the glue side against the noodle. Let the label dry for the time listed on your waterproof glue bottle.

Tips & Warnings

  • Allow your water noodle to dry for 24 hours before adhering your printed label. The label will not adhere to a noodle that is still wet.

  • The labels and the glue are waterproof, but after a month or so of continual use in the pool, they may start to breakdown and will need to be replaced.
