How to Wash Green From a Swimming Pool Out of a Swimsuit

Light colored swimsuits can get a green or yellow tinge, after lots of time in a swimming pool.

If you fail to rinse your white or lightly colored swimsuit after each use, you will eventually notice a slight green or yellow tinge to the suit. This is caused by a chlorine build-up that can be removed simply. Refrain from putting the suit through your washer and dryer, as the heat can set the chlorine stain and weaken the elasticity of the suit.

• Mild soap

Instructions

1. Secure the drain on a sink and fill it with cold water.

2. Soak the suit in the water, until it is completely saturated.

3. Rub a bar of mild soap over the wet fabric of the suit in the affected areas. Rub the fabric of the suit vigorously, to help the soap to penetrate the fabric completely.

4. Rinse the suit well in cold water, until no bubbles remain.

5. Lay the suit flat, and allow it to air dry.
