1
Wash hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner. Gently brush through wet hair with a brush or comb.
-
2
Gather a small section of hair from the top of your head near the forehead. When creating a bouffant with curly hair, it is suggested that this section of hair be straightened so the bouffant is even and can lay smooth.
-
-
3
Place this section of hair into a clip so it is held separate from the rest of your hair. Put the rest of your hair in a ponytail, which you may wish to keep in a pony tail or remove it.
-
4
Remove the clip from the section of hair at the top of the head. Place your finger along your forehead hairline and flip the section of hair over it. Slightly backcomb the underside of the bouffant.
-
5
Grab the section of hair about 1 inch from the part, flip it back and give the section a small push producing the "bump" of the bouffant.
-
6
Secure the bouffant in place using bobby pins. One or two on each side should hold the hairstyle. Spray plenty of hairspray to ensure the bouffant will hold strong and not shift.
-
7
Style the remaining ponytail as desired. Either leave in a ponytail or remove it for further straightening or curling.
