How to Use a Slipstream DSL Modem With Embarq
CenturyLink (formerly Embarq) is a provider of high-speed Internet, digital cable and digital telephone service. If you contract with CenturyLink in order to use their service in your home, typically the installer will provide you a modem for use with the Internet service. Some users, however, prefer to use their own modems rather than the ones given to them by their Internet provider. If you are in possession of a Slipstream DSL modem, you can use it in conjunction with the CenturyLink Internet service.
