Directions on Wrapping a Baby Sling
Many moms enjoy carrying their babies in a baby wrap or sling. The wrap is a length of stretchy fabric that is tied around the parent's body to carry the baby securely and comfortably. The wrap allows the parent to have hands free while holding the baby safely. After wrapping the fabric around your body, you have the option of carrying the baby facing you, facing forward or sideways in sling fashion. Newborns are typically carried in sling fashion.
Instructions

1
Hold the baby wrap at your waist with the center of the sling at your navel.
-
2
Wrap the ends behind your back. Cross the ends. Bring the ends over your shoulders, keeping the fabric spread out.
-
-
3
Bring the ends down in front of you. Tuck them under the wrap at your waist.
-
4
Cross the fabric lengths. Wrap the ends behind your back.
-
5
Tie the ends in a knot behind your back but off to the side for more comfort. Wrap the ends to the front to tie the knot if there is enough length to do so.
-
6
Make a fold in each of the lengths of the fabric that are over your shoulders.
-
7
Separate the fold closest to you to create a pocket.
-
8
Place the baby's upper body into the pocket. Pull the fabric around the baby.
-
9
Tuck the baby's legs into the pocket on the other side. Pull the fabric up over the baby's bottom, feet and legs.
-
10
Pull the section of the wrap from around your waist up and over the baby to secure him in the sling.

Tips & Warnings
The baby should fit snugly in the baby wrap. It may take a few attempts to get the proper fit for your baby.
As your baby grows, he can be placed in a forward- or rear-facing position in the wrap.
