How to Troubleshoot a FlavorWave Oven

Troubleshoot problems with your FlavorWave Oven to keep your food cooking at the proper time and temperature. The FlavorWave Oven uses halogen heat to cook food up to three times faster than other conventional cooking methods. If your oven is not operating correctly, it may cook food at a slower or faster rate than necessary to create a quality meal. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Wait for 15 to 20 seconds after you remove the control panel's vinyl cover if you notice strange images on the display panel. This is normal and is caused by static electricity.

    • 2

Reposition the liner pan handles in the drop-down position if the cooking dome does not fit over the base securely.

    • 3

Press the "Power" button and one of the numbered buttons -- from 1 to 9 -- if the power setting on the display is not correct. Button 1 represents 10 percent of maximum power and the value increases by 10 percent with each button, up to the highest percentage of 9, representing 90 percent maximum power.

    • 4

Press the "Power" button and select on the numbered buttons how long you want the FlavoWave to cook -- from two to nine hours. With the oven set on the default power setting of "Hi" it only cooks for two hours; other settings allow for cooking over nine hours.

    • 5

Press "Start" if after you remove the power head during cooking and then replace it, the unit does not resume cooking. Lifting off the power head puts the oven into a "Pause" mode.

    • 6

Plug the FlavorWave into a separate outlet from your other major appliances if the oven cooks more slowly than you would like.
