How to Upload Pictures to a Computer From a Camera With Windows 2000
With older operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 2000, you will need to check the compatibility with more modern computer peripherals such as digital cameras. The first thing you will need to do is make sure drivers exist for Windows 2000 and your digital camera. Once you have made a connection, the transfer process is much the same as with newer operating systems. You access the virtual drive via "My Computer."

Tips & Warnings
If you cannot find a driver for your camera to connect to your Windows 2000 operating system, purchase an external SD memory card reader to connect to the USB port on your computer. When you purchase a card reader compatible with Windows 2000, it should come with the necessary drivers on an install disc. Attach the reader, insert your camera's memory card, and open the external device (memory card reader) when it appears on your computer. Copy the photo's from here.
