How to Make Adjustable Wire Wrap Rings
Wire jewelery is handmade by artisans and jewelers. It can be found at many bazaars and art fairs. Types of wire wrapped jewelery include rings, bracelets, necklaces, and decorative pins. Adjustable wire wrapped rings can be made by just about anybody. They are a simple, yet elegant addition to anyone's ring collection. A wire wrapped ring can be decorated with faceted gemstones or beads. Adjustable wire wrapped rings can be designed for wearing on toes, as well.
Things You'll Need
- 16-gauge Jewelery wire
- File
- Ring mandrel
- Bent nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Wire cutters
- Flush cutters
- Anvil
- Hammer

Measure out 7 inches of the 16-gauge wire. Cut it with the wire cutters. Snip off the ends with the flush cutters to trim the cuts.

Place the wire onto the anvil and then hit it with the hammer to pound the wire flat. Don't turn the wire as you pound it. Pound the tips flat and file down the edges of the tips to round them off.

Take the flattened wire and wrap it around the ring mandrel three times. Take the hammer and hit the ends of the wire down onto the mandrel, adjusting the ends with the bent nose pliers to get them to lay flat. Remove the ring. It can be pulled larger or bent down smaller to fit any finger.

Tips & Warnings
Wrap the wire around the ring mandrel near the around the graduated markings that are just a little smaller than the size you wish to make the ring.
