How to Find Good Alchemy Items on RuneScape
Alchemy is a magic spell in "RuneScape" that turns a player's items into gold. High-level alchemy not only returns more gold, but it also rewards the caster with more experience points in the magic skill. Many magic spells are serious money drainers, as runes are spent with each cast. Alchemy, however, has the option of making players money depending on current market prices.

Look up several items you're interested in alching on the Grand Exchange to find their average price. You may need to purchase the item in bulk if you want to earn significant magic experience, so you might not want to research expensive items unless you have a nice bank.

Look up the high alchemy value of the item (see first link in Resources). This price is the amount of money you'll receive when casting high alchemy on the item. The price is set by the game and does not fluctuate over time.

Find the market value of one nature rune; this rune, along with the appropriate staff, is required to cast the high alchemy spell. Subtract the cost of a nature rune and the cost of one of your items from the high alchemy value of that item. If the result is equal to or greater than zero, you've found a good item to alch. Repeat the process as needed.

Use a fire staff, fire battlestaff or lava battlestaff to avoid wasting fire runes when casting the alchemy spell.
