How to Make Cards with the Cuttlebug
You do not have to spend a fortune on custom embossed invitations and greeting cards. With a cuttlebug, you can cut, shape and emboss your own homemade cards. You'll have a variety of design options and you can customize the look of your cards in a way that would cost you a fortune if you went to a professional printer. All you need is a cuttlebug and a few paper supplies to make your own cards and invitations.

Place your cuttlebug on a table. You can purchase a cuttlebug at your local hobby or craft store. Choose one of your cuttlebug folders. This is the plastic folder that contains the image you want embossed on your card. You can buy cuttlebug folders separately and a few folders with standard designs come with your cuttlebug.

Place the double sided tape in the middle of the cover of your card. Take your 3 inches of thin ribbon and tie it into a bow. Affix the bow to the front of your card by placing it on the double-sided tape and pressing down with your finger. You now have a card you made on your cuttlebug that you can fill out with your personalized message.

Tips & Warnings
Try different shapes, sizes and patterns of ribbon to add a personalized touch to your card.
Do not write on the embossed surface of your card. The embossed surface does not hold ink well and its hard to get a straight line with your pen.
