How to Set an Appliance Timer

How to Set an Appliance Timer thumbnail
Both ovens and microwaves have timers.

Microwaves and ovens are two kitchen appliances on which you can set timers. A timer can be used to limit the amount of time an item will be processed by an appliance by shutting off the process at the end of the set time. It also can allow you to count down a defined amount of time without actually needing to keep track yourself. For example, if you are chilling something in the refrigerator, you can set the microwave or oven timer to alert you when it is time to remove the item. Does this Spark an idea?
