How to Tie Trinity Knots on Chinese I Ching Coins

Things You'll Need

• 3 I Ching coins
• Red string

Instructions

1. Thread the three coins on the string and then bend the string in half. Twist the top of the "U" to make three loops next to each other, with one coin in each loop.

2. Hold the loops with your left hand. Take the left end of the string and pass it over the right end of the string. Pass the end under and up through the right loop.

3. Hold the loops with your right hand. Take the right end of the string and pass it over and down through the left loop.

4. Pass the middle of the right end of the string under and through the center loop to create a new loop.

5. Pass the middle of the left end of the string over and through the center loop, and then under and through the new loop created in Step 4. Pull this end of the string through the loop to complete the knot.
