Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the lamp and cut power to the fixture. Allow the bulb and protective glass, if there, to cool down for about 10 minutes.

    • 2

Examine the halogen light fixture to determine how the glass covering is attached. You may need to push the glass in towards the bulb in order to release clips that are holding the glass in place or you may need to unscrew the glass from the lamp. Remove the glass and set it aside.

    • 3

Hold the halogen light bulb with the non-linen cloth. Turn it counter-clockwise to unscrew the bulb. If it doesn't unscrew, the bulb may plug in. Gently grasp the sides of the bulb and pull it straight out of the light fixture.

    • 4

Place the new bulb into the light fixture and screw it or plug it in place. Replace the protective glass. Restore power to the light fixture and turn the lamp on.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure that you are using the correct wattage light bulb for your fixture. If you are not sure what wattage to use, look for the wattage label inside the light fixture once you have removed the old bulb.
