How to Play an Elite in Halo on PC Using HMT
HMT, or Halo Mapping Tools, is a cache editor program that allows you to edit the map files of "Halo" on the PC. Editing the map files allows you to make warthogs fly and shoot homing rockets from your warthog turret or your machine gun. In addition, you can replace weapons with different weapons, apply different textures to objetcts and characters and patch your own character to play as an Elite in "Halo" for the PC.

Open the Halo Mapping Tools program by double-clicking on the program icon.

Select a map from the HMT program to edit by going to "File" and "Open," and browsing for the selected "Halo" map file. Click on it to select it. Click "OK" to open the file.

Browse for the file "Bitmap" and click on it to select it. Click the "+" icon to open the list of different bitmap images. Scroll down the list until you find "characters/cyborg" and click on it to select it. Click the "Swap" button.

Scroll down the list in "Swap Offset With" until you find "Characters/elite" and click on it to select it. Click "Save Meta" to save the file and choose a name to "Save As." Click "Save" to save the file.

Start "Halo" for the PC and choose the map you modified. You will now be able to play as an Elite.
