How to Configure Siebel Business Applications

Siebel CRM Systems provides business tools that allow an enterprise to improve its relationship with the customer base. It does this with applications that improve marketing, sales, finance, engineering and manufacturing. Siebel CRM works for medium-sized businesses. One of the strengths of the program is the ability to customize many of the applications and processes that the CRM blueprint provides. From the customer perspective, you can customize CRM and the applications to meet a specific customer operation.

      Develop an implementation plan by performing a thorough business analysis that details the needs of your organization and users. This involves obtaining information about the nature of the business, what it provides by way of services or products, the cost structure, the manufacturing process, and the sales or marketing efforts needed to generate revenue.

      Acquire approval and commitments for time and resource from the relevant managerial organizations. Set up the development environment when the implementation plan is complete. This is done by using the hardware and software specifications arising from the implementation plan. In other words. when the approval is complete, create the development environment with the appropriate servers, software and the design team.

      Look at existing, predefined objects. Determine if you can reuse them. One way to make the application work faster is to use an existing object. If it meets the specs of the system, then use it. There are functional, technical, component module fits. However, if it does not meet the conditions, this may cause problems for the application.

      Create an entity relationship diagram to map entities and relationships. This associates text, images, and components from the application into a coherent design that explicitly describes the relationship between objects.

      Configure tables, business components, links, and business objects, which are the work tools for the applications. This includes customizing the Data Layer, where database tables and spreadsheets reside. Customize business components and the related fields. Create links to associate data objects to business components.
