Instructions for Twisting Wire on Beaded Jewelry
You can use jewelry wire to make your own clasps, links and shapes for jewelry. You can also use jewelry wire to shape and twist the wire around beads to make detailed jewelry designs. Jewelry wire also comes in a variety of colors and thicknesses to choose from for your jewelry and crafts. Having the right tools can make twisting wire around beaded jewelry fun and easy.

Pass the wire through the openings of a bead. Wrap the end of the wire around the round nose pliers once to make a loop. This will prevent the bead from coming off the wire.

Take the length of the wire from the other side of the bead and gently begin wrapping the wire around the bead until the wire reaches the loop that you made.

Twist the wire around the loop twice. This will secure the wire to the bead.

Cut off the excess wire. Use the jewelry pliers to push the wire, where it was cut off, to the side. This will prevent you from getting poked by the pointy wire.

Tips & Warnings
Look at different gauges of wire to test the thickness. The higher the gauge the thinner the wire. Thicker wire has lower gauge numbers.
Look for the appropriate jewelry wire thickness that will pass through the beads. Really thick wire might not pass through the bead at all.
