Instructions

    • 1

Bake cake according to manufacturer's directions. Two cake mixes will fill a typical half-sheet cake pan, 18 by 13 inches. Allow the cake to cool completely. Cut the cake into one square and two smaller rectangles. Place the square cake on the cardboard cake tray. Set the rectangles aside.

    • 2

Mix a few drops of green food coloring into a container of vanilla frosting. Cover the square cake with the green frosting. This is the baseball diamond.

    • 3

Place four graham crackers in a plastic bag. Crush with a rolling pin until the crumbs are evenly fine. Pour crumbs in the center of the square to create the pitcher's mound and then make a line around the edge of the cake, approximately one inch from the sides. This will be the dirt line for the basepaths.

    • 4

Cut pieces of fruit leather into four squares and one rectangle. Place a square at each corner of the basepaths and set the rectangle in the center of the pitcher's mound.

    • 5

Place the rectangle pieces of cake along the first and third base lines. Cover with white frosting and then sprinkle small candies to represent a crowd of fans.
