The Sorenson VRS is a videophone-based device that connects directly to your television system (such as an LCD TV). The equipment, along with an ASL interpreter standing by at Sorenson Communications, helps individuals who have trouble hearing communicate with others over an Internet connection. The hearing-impaired user signs to the ASL interpreter, who can sign back. The interpreter calls the third party on a regular phone and relays the message. The free service is operated 24 hours a day.

Plug the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the rear of the Sorenson VRS videophone.

Connect the opposite ends of the cables into the "Video In" ports on your television.

Connect the Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" ports on your high-speed Internet modem, then insert the free end into the "WAN" port on the Sorenson VRS videophone.

Power on the LCD television system and the Sorenson VRS videophone. Change the video input (or "source") to "Video" and the information from the Sorenson VRS videophone will appear on the screen.
