How to Install Spray Tight Insulation
As energy costs rise, people begin to consider ways to improve their houses. If the house is insulated, the windows sealed properly and all cracks caulked to keep out the cold air of winter or heat of summer, then you will find that it will cost less to heat or cool the house as the fuel will be used more efficiently. One way to effectively insulate the house as well as fill any voids through which warm air or cool air may be escaping is to use Spray Tight insulation. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Stud finder
- Drill and hole bit
- Spray Tight insulation
- Drywall tape
- Drywall mud
- Drywall knife
- Sandpaper
- Paint

Find the location of the the studs in the walls.

Drill holes in the walls at regular intervals, running the length of the stud bay.

Spray Spray Tight insulation into the holes in the stud bay.

Allow the foam to expand. Fill the holes with drywall tape and drywall mud. Allow to dry, then sand and paint.
