Instructions

    • 1

Download Scooby Doo images from a free clip art web site. Pick an image positioned vertically. These look better on the card. Either follow the instructions on how to download the image or right click and choose "Save Image." Save the image to your desktop.

    • 2

Open a word processing document. Set the paper orientation to landscape. Set the columns to two.

    • 3

Hit "Enter" until your cursor reaches the second column on the page. Now any image or text inputted will be on the right side of the page.

    • 4

Right click on the image saved to your desktop. Click "Copy". Open the word document. "Paste" the image into the right column. If you want the image centered in the column, move your cursor to the left column and hit "Enter" until the image moves to the correct spot.

    • 5

Insert a piece of card stock paper into your printer tray. Print the invitation. Let the ink on the invitation dry for a few minutes.

    • 6

Open a new word document. Set up the document as outlined above. Pick an interesting font such as Comic Sans. Increase the point size to 24 point. Type in the party information, including what the party is about, the address and the time and date. Include RSVP information with a deadline for reply.

    • 7

Print the document on the back side of the invitation. This may take a couple of tries. Printers differ on how to orient a printed document in the paper tray. Read your printer's instructions or experiment. When completed, you should be able to fold the invitation in half so that the image is on the outside and the text lays on the right side of the interior. You can always skip steps six and seven and hand write the invitation information into the interior of the card.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the party is around lunch and you are not serving a lunch, mention this by saying, "Come for cake and ice cream."
