How do I Install a Heckler & Koch Jet Funnel?
A jet funnel is a magazine expansion kit that you can install on Heckler & Koch USP-series pistols. The kit creates a flared magazine well and allows you the ability to load special high-capacity, translucent magazines into the pistol at a fast rate. The jet funnel is recommended for use in competitive shooting and is not compatible with standard-capacity magazines. The installation of the jet funnel is simple and requires only two tools to complete.

Remove the magazine and clear the chamber of the gun. Visually check the chamber to ensure that the gun is safe to work on.

Pull the hammer back and press the trigger. Slowly release the hammer to fully un-cock the gun. Turn the gun over so the magazine well is facing up.

Press down on the lanyard loop lock and use the pin punch (or the tip of the 3 mm Allen wrench if you do not own a pin punch) to push out the retaining pin at the base of the pistol grip.

Remove the lanyard loop and leave the hammer spring in the hole on the base of the pistol grip.

Insert the lanyard loop that came with the jet funnel kit over the hammer spring. The new lanyard loop has a screw hole in it that you use to attach the jet funnel to the pistol.

Push down on the new lanyard loop and re-insert the retaining pin. Push the retaining pin into the hole until it is flush with the grip.

Place the jet funnel over the top of the new lanyard loop and magazine well. Insert the screw that came in the jet funnel kit into the top of the jet funnel and into the lanyard loop.

Tighten the screw in a clockwise direction with the 3 mm Allen wrench to complete the jet funnel installation.
