How to Clear Your Surf History in Internet Explorer
In North America, more than 266 million individuals use the Internet. Between 60 percent and 75 percent of computer users employ Microsoft's Internet Explorer to surf the Web. A record of each website that a person visits is saved in the Web browser's search history. To protect a person's privacy, however, search history can be deleted on Internet Explorer within a matter of moments.

Your Interent history can be deleted with a few clicks of your mouse. Click the "Safety" button in the upper right-hand side of the screen. A drop-down menu of options will appear.

Select "Delete Browsing History." A new window will appear so that you may chose which items to delete from your history.

Check the items next to the boxes that you wish to delete. Selecting the box next to "History" will delete the list of websites that you have visited. Click "Delete."
Internet Explorer 7 and Earlier Versions

Click the "Tools" button in the top left-hand corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.

Click on the "Delete Browsing History." A new window will appear on your screen.

Click the "Delete History" option to remove the list of visited sites from your computer. A new window will appear. Click "Yes" to delete to delete your history.
