How to Change the Photo on an ID
From passports and driver licenses to work and military IDs and even certain banks' credit and debit cards, a wide range of identification documents feature pictures to help authenticate them. Your appearance changes over time, however, so there may come a day when the person pictured on your ID card doesn't look very much like the person you see in the mirror. Alternatively, you may simply not like the picture. Whatever the case, you may opt to change the picture on your ID card.

1
Groom and clothe yourself as you wish to appear in your new picture the morning you plan to have the new picture taken. If you're changing your picture out of dissatisfaction, wearing your clothing and hair in a manner that pleases you will decrease the chances of this happening again (or at least anytime soon).

Visit the authority or department which issued your ID and complete any paperwork or additional steps to change your picture. If you need a new driver's license, for example, your state may require you to pay a replacement fee in order to get a new license with an updated photo.

Ask to see the new photo before the associate finalizes it for your new ID card. Since he or she will likely use a digital camera, he or she can simply delete the photo and take a new one if it is not to your liking. If you are displeased with a photo, analyze the reason why and make the proper adjustments before the next picture is taken.
