How to Clean a Tool Holder

Tool holders allow you to store your tools in a convenient location, making the items easy to reach. These holders get grimy due to dirt and grease transferring from tools onto the holder. Cleaning the holders whenever you notice they are stained prevents rust and discoloration. Regardless of the exact type of tool holder you own, the homemade cleaner mentioned below will dissolve stains and grime without discoloring the holder or any tools resting or hanging on it.

Things You'll Need

• Baking soda
• Water
• Spray bottle
• Soft cloths
• White vinegar

Instructions

1. Mix approximately 1/4 cup of baking soda with 4 cups of warm water inside a spray bottle. Shake the bottle to ensure the baking soda mixes with the water.

2. Spray the tool holder with the solution. Spray extra liquid onto any areas that are heavily stained.

3. Leave the solution on the tool holder for about 10 minuets.

4. Saturate a soft cloth with undiluted white vinegar. Wipe the tool holder thoroughly with the cloth.

5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the tool holder is completely clean. Wipe the holder with a dry, soft cloth.
