How to Hook Up a Panasonic SB Subwoofer

The Panasonic SB subwoofer is a self-powered, 180-watt bass speaker designed to work with Panasonic home theater systems. The SB subwoofer connects to the labeled subwoofer jacks on a Panasonic receiver using a pair of color-coded wires. The subwoofer comes with all the wiring needed to connect to a Panasonic receiver. Use a pair of wire strippers to peel away insulation from the two subwoofer wires if the ends become frayed.

Instructions

1. Cut gently into the plastic insulation near the tip of each SB subwoofer wire using the wire strippers. Remove about 1/2 inch of insulation from the red and black wires.

2. Twist the individual strands emerging from the red and black insulation with your fingertip and thumb to form two solid wires.

3. Push up on the red terminal clip labeled "Subwoofer" on the back of the Panasonic reciever to unlock the terminal. Push down on the black terminal clip below the red clip.

4. Insert the red wire from the SB subwoofer into the hole below the red terminal and push the red clip back into the locked position. Insert the black wire into the hole above the black terminal clip and push up on the clip to lock the wire.
