1
Condition your hair regularly. Using deep conditioner regularly will produce less frizzy curls. Depending on your preference, you may use a conditioner to leave in for a few minutes in the shower before being washed, or you may use a conditioner that stays in your hair until the next time you wash it.
-
2
Avoid products with drying ingredients. Shampoos, conditioners or hair sprays and serums that contain alcohol or sodium lauryl sulfates will dry out your hair and promote frizzing.

3
Blot your hair after showering. Towel drying your hair can create static and frizz in your curls. Instead of wringing out your hair with a towel, blot with a thin, special hair-drying or hand towel.
-
4
Wash your hair every other day. Washing hair every day continuously dries it out. Leave a day or two between washes to allow the natural oils in your hair to smooth away frizz.
-
5
Apply hair serum. Various hair product manufacturers sell anti-frizz serum that will relax your natural curls. Apply the anti-frizz serum to your comb by smoothing the product through the comb's teeth. Comb through your hair for an even application. A small amount of moisturizer may work as an anti-frizz serum or you may purchase a professional hair serum. For products specially meant for Spanish women, see Resources.

6
Brush your hair with plastic bristle brushes. Wire or fiber bristles add static to your hair while plastic bristle brushes create less static and help smooth away frizz.
-
7
Cut your hair regularly. Trimming your hair every 4 to 6 weeks at your local salon will take care of your split ends and help keep your hair smooth, reducing fly-away, damaged ends.
