1
Tie-dye cooled hard-boiled eggs by placing the eggs in a colander. Splash them with vinegar and add your desired color to parts of the eggs. Roll them around in the colander gently so the color spreads but the eggs do not break. Let the color set for thirty seconds and repeat this process for as many colors as you desire to use. When finished coloring, lightly rinse the eggs with water and let them air dry in the colander.

2
Place ribbons around an egg using double-sided tape so the ribbons stick. Make bows or stripes with the ribbon, which generally looks better on eggs that already have been dyed.

3
Use a still-warm boiled egg to apply color and patterns to eggs with wax crayons. Hold your warm egg with a paper towel to protect your fingers while you apply the crayons so the wax melts and makes a fun design on the shell.

4
Wrap your egg in rubber bands before you dye it; more rubber bands will yield more patterns. Place the rubber bands in the desired patterns you want. Remove some rubber bands in the middle of the dyeing process to leave different rubber band lines colored instead of white. Remove the rubber bands when the dyes have dried.

5
Use a sponge to create a blotchy look on the egg. Dip a clean sponge in your color choice of acrylic craft paint. Dot the sponge around the egg leaving some white to make an easy and fun speckled look.

6
Dilute craft glue with water in a medium bowl. Roll a hard-boiled egg in the glue until it is completely covered. Sprinkle fine craft glitter onto a paper towel and roll the egg in the glitter until glitter covers the egg. Let the egg dry for as long as it needs so that the glitter does not fall off.
