How to Connect Fog Lights
Unlike normal headlights, which can tend to reflect off of low-lying clouds or fog, fog lights are slightly more powerful and are able to penetrate fog, helped by their low placement. Fog lights can also increase your visibility in rainy weather and at night. Fog lights are typically mounted below your headlights and set off slightly to the side. Many vehicles come equipped standard with fog lights, but just like headlights, your fog lights can eventually burn out. Replacement fog lights take about 20 minutes to install.

1
Remove the negative battery cable from your vehicle as a precautionary measure.
-
2
Remove the plastic cover on your fog light. On some fog light kits, the cover is held in place by screws. If you own one of these kits, use a screwdriver to remove it. Others are held by clips.

3
Remove your fog light mounting bracket screws with a screwdriver and then pull the light from its mount.
-
4
Pull the rear assembly free from the front section. Squeeze the twp tabs to free your old fog light bulb. Place the new bulb in and then place the front and rear of the light assembly back together.
-
5
Place the light assembly back inside the bracket and re-fasten the screws that hold it in place. Snap or screw the fog light's cover back in place and replace your negative battery cable.
