How to Make a Beaded Necklace Base
The first step in making a quality necklace is creating the base for the necklace, which is simple enough to do with the right materials and tools. A wire necklace base will allow you to drape beads onto the necklace without worrying it will break or any of the beads will fall off.
Instructions

1
Cut a length of necklace wire using wire cutters, making the wire about the length you want the necklace to be. Necklace wire can be found at most craft stores or art supply shops.
-
2
Attach one half of a necklace clasp set to one end of the wire by snaking the wire through the clasp's opening and twisting it in place with pliers. You can find necklace clasp sets at craft stores.

3
Snake the beads you are using for the project onto the free end of the wire. The necklace clasp at the other end will keep the beads from falling off.
-
4
Attach the other half of the necklace clasp set onto the free end of the wire by snaking the wire through the clasp's hole and twisting it securely in place with pliers.
-
5
Secure the two ends of the necklace clasp together to make the loop customary of a necklace.
