Instructions for a Coleman Pop-up Camper
Coleman pop-up campers have a smaller profile than full campers while still allowing the comforts of much larger campers. This helps to save wear and tear on your vehicle and uses less gas, because of lighter weight and less wind-resistance when pulling the camper. If you have never used a pop-up camper, there is a specific way that you need to get everything opened so you don't damage your investment.

1
Unlock and raise the storage compartment door slightly and pull the step until it's fully extended. Lower the storage compartment door back into place to ensure the step is firmly held in position.
-
2
Attach the crank handle to the crank shaft (for manual lift systems). Make sure there is nothing on top of the camper, then rotate the crank handle in a clockwise motion to raise the top until it is fully extended. A clicking sound should be heard. Lower the stabilizer jacks by reaching under the corner of the trailer, grasping the jack and pushing it toward the center of the trailer about half an inch, then swinging it down. Push the quick-release lever to extend the jack.

3
Extend the beds, pull down and swivel the lower bed support legs. Support pegs are located on the trailer frame. Lift the bed slightly to place the free end on the pegs. Extend the glide-out compartments if applicable to your camper.

4
Grasp the side of the canvas bow from outside the camper and rotate it toward the end of the bed. Inside the camper, attach the removable bed bow supports by snapping the pole tip into the upper U-shaped bed bow. Then push the outer bow the rest of the way into position. Pull the tent flaps outside the trailer over the edge of the bed frame and attach the exposed stretch cords to the hooks under the bed.
-
5
Go inside the camper and raise the swing-level galley until the bottom of the upper galley rests securely on top of the lower galley (do not drop it when lowering). Lift up and rotate the towel rack on the hinged upper galley assembly, toward the outside of the camper.
-
6
Pull open and assemble other accessories for your particular camper. Some come with a dinette, sofa, windows and shower, and there are two different types of toilets.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure the one corner of the canopy is sloped to allow for condensation and rain to fall freely from it.
Set up of the trailer needs to be on a level campsite. Do not set up on soft or sandy terrain.
