Instructions

    • 1

Prepare a soapy solution in the spray bottle by adding 1 cup of warm water and 2 tablespoons of soap. You can use dish washing soap, but many types of soap will work

    • 2

Shake the solution thoroughly and spray a test spray away from the bees to make sure that the solution is soapy enough. If it is not adequate, add 1 tablespoon of soap and shake it again.

    • 3

Spraying the bees is an option, but it is even more effective when you spray the bee hive. Locate where the hive is before attempting to spray the bees.

    • 4

Approach the hive slowly with the spray bottle and soak the hive and the surrounding area with the soapy water in the spray bottle. Retreat after soaking the hive. If you are only spraying bees, spray quickly and retreat.

    • 5

Return to the hive and spray it again after the bees have died or dispersed. This additional spraying will ensure that they will not return.

Tips & Warnings

  • The hive is often near where the bees are swarming in groups.

  • Keep your pets away when you are attempting this as to avoid them getting stung.

  • Protect your body by wearing gloves and long-sleeved clothing while spraying the bees and the hive.
