How to Return to Education Courses in Psychology
Returning to complete an abandoned education is a difficult decision that many adults face. At times there seems to be a number of potentially insurmountable roadblocks that can prevent a returning student from obtaining her goal. Also, gaining entrance into a competitive major such as psychology comes with its own issues, such as finding letters of recommendation, completing prerequisites, and choosing the appropriate program.

1
Select a number of schools to research. Psychology is a very competitive major, and the best schools will weed out all potential students to prevent large numbers of drop-outs or students who are unsuitable for the major.
-
2
Research the requirements of each program. Make a list for each school, to keep track. Pay special attention to all application deadlines. Seek advice from local colleges on the application process.

3
Research the courses involved in the various psychology majors to determine which path is best suited to your talents. Visit the different schools if they are close by and talk to the program advisers.
-
4
Fulfill all application requirements. This may include completing courses prior to being allowed to enter the major at some schools. This will almost certainly include gathering letters of recommendations from previous professors or professionals who work in the field and know your commitment.
