Attaining a master's degree is a significant educational achievement. When you apply for employment, it is important to highlight the skills gained through the pursuit of the degree, along with your mastery of your field of study.

Write your educational attainments in reverse chronological order. List the degrees that you have earned, beginning with the most recent. Include the institution, location and date of receipt of the degree. For example, you might write: Harvard University. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Master of Science in Elementary Education, 2006.

Include your GPA if it was 3.5 or above. Because most graduate programs require a minimum GPA of 3.0, listing anything lower than 3.5 is redundant. Add the information at the end of the entry: Harvard University. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Master of Science in Elementary Education, 2006. GPA: 3.65

Include relevant coursework in your listing for a sense of synergy between your qualifications and the position for those who are reviewing your resume, making the hiring decisions. To continue the example, add coursework following your GPA:: Harvard University. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Master of Science in Elementary Education, 2006. GPA: 3.65. Relevant Coursework: Multicultural Education, Special Needs Education, Leadership in Education.

Provide information about your thesis, if your program required one. For example, add "Thesis: Incentive-Based Learning in Elementary Education: The Power of Using Rewards in Correlation to Positive Behaviors." Include this after your other master's degree information.
