Image Treadmill Troubleshooting

Save

The Image treadmill is an automatic treadmill meant for use in a home gym or fitness center setting and is available for purchase in many sports equipment and fitness supply stores, as well as online. The treadmill offers features such as an electronic console, a built-in fan and a handrail for support during use. While general maintenance and care should keep the treadmill functioning properly, some troubleshooting efforts may be necessary if problems arise.

Things You'll Need

  • Surge suppressor (if needed)
  • Console key
  • Hex key
  • Verify the Image treadmill is connected to a surge suppressor and a grounded outlet if the treadmill is not working. You can purchase a single-outlet surge suppressor at many grocery or hardware stores. Press the circuit breaker reset switch on the base of the treadmill if it has tripped due to a power failure.

  • Ensure the console key is connected to the console if the treadmill has power but is not working as expected. If the power suddenly shuts off during use, remove the console key, wait five minutes and then plug the key back into the console.

  • Take the console key out and unplug the power cord if the walking belt slips or slows during use. Turn the rear roller bolts, located at the end of the treadmill on each side, with the hex key provided with the treadmill. Turn the hex key a one-quarter turn counterclockwise. Check the belt by lifting it up with your fingers to see if it lifts 2 to 3 inches off the base. This indicates proper tightening.

  • Reset the console if the display is incorrect by taking the key out of the console. Push "Stop" and at the same time place the key back into the console. Press "Calorie Goal Programs" to cause the display to reset.
