How to Download Sims From The Sims 2 Exchange

The Sims 2 Exchange is a website designed for players of "The Sims 2." The website allows players to share custom content, patches and game tools for use in "The Sims 2" game. Players can use the tools on the Exchange website to create user-made items, houses and Sims, upload the product and share with other players in the Exchange community. Downloading new Sims skins allows you to customize your "The Sims 2" experience.

Instructions

1. Go to "The Sims 2" website and click "Log in" to sign in to your account. This link is below "The Sims 2" icon on the upper left side of the screen. If you do not have an account, register for a free account.

2. Click the "Exchange" link located at the top of the page.

3. Click "Sims" under the "Quick Lists" heading. You can select Sims created by Maxis or the newest additions to the website.

4. Navigate through the selections. Click on the photograph when you choose one to download.

5. Click "Download This Sim" and save the file to your desktop.

6. Double-click the file and follow the on-screen instructions. The file will install directly to "The Sims 2" game.

Tips & Warnings

• To download items and Sims from The Sims 2 Exchange, you must register your game with the website. This requires the game product code.
