Instructions

  1. If Ink is Powdery

    • 1

Vacuum up the ink with the nozzle just above the spill. Do not make direct contact with the ink as it can stain the carpet even more.

    • 2

Put foaming carpet cleaner on the spot.

    • 3

Blot up the cleaner with paper towels and repeat the treatment until the stain is gone.

    • 4

Rinse the carpet with water when the stain is gone to remove any residual carpet cleaner. Dry with a clean towel.

    If Ink is Liquid

    • 5

Blot up as much of the spill as possible with a dry and clean towel.

    • 6

Put a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a clean towel and apply to the remaining spill. Repeat this step until you can no longer blot up any more ink.

    • 7

Apply hydrogen peroxide to a towel and blot up any remaining ink.

    • 8

      Let the spot dry overnight.

Tips & Warnings

  • To prevent spills, put ink jet cartridges inside a paper bag before taking off the safety slip.

  • Do not rub the ink with a paper towel as this will just worsen the stain and make it more difficult to get up.
