How to Convert the Yen to CAD

How to Convert the Yen to CAD thumbnail
The letter Y with two short parallel bars on the stalk of the letter is the international symbol for the yen.

The yen is the currency in Japan. "CAD" is the acronym used for the Canadian dollar, the currency of Canada. Both of these currencies can be used to buy goods and services in their respective countries. A person holding Japanese yen will not be able to buy goods in Canada without first converting his currency to Canadian dollars. Likewise, someone wishing to calculate the cost of something in Japan relative to the cost of something in Canada must first calculate the exchange rate from yen into CAD.
