How to Apply Clown Makeup Like Homie Clowns
Homie clowns are a band of outcast clowns. These 23 clowns are social misfits, performing at the Homieclown Circus because no other arena will let them in. Applying makeup to look like a Homie clown is fairly easy since they are not complicated characters. Theatrical creme makeup is the easiest product to use, and is available at any costume shop. Once you add a wig and costume, your Homie clown will be ready for the big top.

Instructions

1
Begin by choosing which homie clown you want to recreate in makeup.
-
2
Apply white makeup to your face, ears, neck and any other exposed skin. Brush the makeup with neutral powder to set it and keep it from smearing.
-
-
3
Apply your clown's color markings with a small, angled makeup brush. Each clown has his own signature patterns and colorations, but almost all of them have color around their lips and eyes.
-
4
Draw smaller lines with a makeup pencil. These pencils are available in any color from costume shops and makeup stores.
-
5
Add facial hair (if your clown has it) by lightly brushing black makeup onto your face with a coarse, black stipple sponge. If you are gentle enough, the sponge will leave hairlike streaks behind. You can also use a piece of coarse fish tank filter if you cannot get a stipple sponge.
If you prefer, you can use fake stick-on facial hair available at costume shops. For characters like Sweeper this may be much easier than painting the hair on.
-
6
Powder all of the makeup to set it.
-
7
Add a ball clown nose the correct color for your character.
-
8
Finish your homie clown look with a wig and costume.
