How to Perform a Power Slide Turbo on DS
"Mario Kart" originated on Nintendo's Super Nintendo system and has since expanded to the handheld Nintendo DS system. In the game, players can perform a turbo power slide move to maneuver their vehicles during a race. The move is simple to pull off and can be accomplished by any of the characters within the game.

Approach a turn during any of the races within the game and press and hold the "R" button. Your kart will start to slide through the turn.

Alternate pressing the "Left" and "Right" keys on the directional pad as you slide through the turn, until blue sparks appear on your kart's wheels.

Release the "R" button once the sparks turn red to gain an added boost through the turn.
