How do I Hook Up a Trailer Light on a Chevy S10 Blazer?

When towing with your Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, it is important that you use trailer lights not only for your safety, but for the safety of the other drivers on the road. Installing trailer lights is incredibly simple, provided you have trailer lights that are compatible with your vehicle. The trailer lights should come with their own mounting equipment, but be sure to hook them up immediately, as unmounted trailer lights can become a hazard to those around you.

Instructions

1. Turn the engine of your S-10 Blazer off.

2. Use the provided mounting equipment to mount your trailer lights to what you will be towing.

3. Locate the electrical outlet underneath the bumper of the Blazer. On most Blazers, the outlet is to the left of the license plate, directly in front of the spare tire.

4. Remove the plastic from the electric outlet.

5. Connect the trailer lights cord to the outlet of the Blazer.
