Instructions for Making a Good Luck Charm Heart
The heart is a powerful symbol of love within our culture. It can stand for romantic love between two people,. the love between friends or family members, or emotional openness and honesty. Designing your own good luck charm heart can help bring you luck in love, protect and preserve your friendships or give you general good luck. The important thing is not how it looks, but that it has a personal connection to you.

Fashion a heart-shaped charm out of the material of your choice. Form one out of polymer clay and bake it in the oven for a simple, three-dimensional luck charm. Alternately, cut one out of leather or the fabric of your choice or carve one from wood.

Write a name, draw a picture or paste a photo of anyone you want your good luck charm to attract or protect to it. You may use a name or image of a good friend, a lover or someone else special.

Attach items that you view as lucky to the charm. Glue a 4-leaf clover to it or a shred of fiber from your lucky shirt. Alternately, draw a symbol of luck such as an acorn or a horseshoe on the surface of the charm. If you have a lucky number, inscribe it on the charm as well.

Attach objects associated with you to the charm. Your birth stone or a picture of your astrological sign, for example, will help ensure that the luck is directed towards you specifically. You may also spit on it or put a drop of blood on the charm to link it to you.

Hang the charm on a strong cord. Wear it around your neck all the time for all around good luck, or during games, tests and other difficult occasions for a luck boost.
