Offering bar crawl goers a free drink is a great way to keep them enthused.

The reality show "Jersey Shore" has gained extreme popularity not only for its role on television but for its wider pop-culture influence that brought new slang, new hairdos and a new partying lifestyle into the mainstream. Hosting a Jersey Shore themed bar crawl will be a creative twist on a night out. Participants can use the theme as an excuse to let loose and have fun Jersey Shore style. Planning such a pub crawl is not difficult, but will take some creativity and a lot of enthusiasm.

Instructions

    • 1

Pick a location for the bar crawl that has at least four bars within walking distance of each other. If the bars are to spread out, people will have to take taxis between them, which is expensive and slows the event's momentum.

    • 2

Send out invitations to the bar crawl participants at least a week in advance of the event. This will give people enough time to plan a costume for the night of the crawl. If you do not wish to send physical invitations, a Facebook event invitation works just as well. Whatever the nature of the invitations, write them in they style of the Jersey Shore culture. For example, you could write, "Guys, make sure to bring your blow-outs and girls, I want to see some amazing poufs! Get ready to fist pump the night away!" For more Jersey Shore slang you can consult the TV Guide's "A Guide to Our Favorite Jersey Shore Slang" (see Resources).

    • 3

Ask the bar owners at each bar on the bar crawl if they can provide a free drink or shot as soon as the group arrives. If you can guarantee to bring a certain number of people into their bar, the bar owner may be happy to provide one free shot per participant. If not, you can ask about a possible discount on drinks and factor the cost into the individual price participants pay to take part in the bar crawl. Providing people with a free drink, or a drink that is a part of the individual participation cost, makes crawl-goers feel exclusive and the night feel special.

    • 4

Plan at least one Jersey Shore related activity that can take place early in the night, in the first or second bar. For example, you could have a Jersey Shore lookalike competition or a dance-off where the winner wins a bottle of fake tan or a jar of hair gel.
